Spark Discover: yesUCan Shine! GCO Empowers Students Through Online Personality Testing

The UC Guidance and Counseling Office (GCO) is committed to helping students grow personally and academically by offering resources and services that support their overall well-being. One notable initiative is the facilitation of Online Personality Tests, conducted from June 8 to July 5, 2024. These tests aimed to help students gain insights into their personalities, improve decision-making skills, enhance relationships, and unlock their full potential.

The program drew 141 participants from various UC colleges, demonstrating its wide-reaching impact. Supported by eight Behavioral Science interns, the program provided an engaging and meaningful experience for students. Feedback from participants showed high satisfaction, with aspects like the presentation of topics, relevance of materials, activity atmosphere, and overall satisfaction rated as excellent. The average ratings included 4.0 for presentation quality, 3.86 for time allotment and material relevance, and 3.71 for overall satisfaction, reflecting the program’s success. One participant remarked, “The overall presentation and dissemination was great.”

By offering activities like personality tests, the GCO helps students explore their strengths, understand their behavior, and align their actions with their true selves. Students are encouraged to reflect on experiences, participate in assessments, and seek feedback from peers and mentors, empowering them to grow both academically and personally.
