Baguio City, Philippines—The University of Cordilleras Peer Facilitators (UCPF) were invited to participate in the welcoming booth event which was hosted by the Student Affairs Services (SAS) to welcome UCians back to school for the 2nd semester of the academic year 2024-2025. It was conducted last January 24, 2025, and the event was held at the UC Gym from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The welcoming booth event had different booths with various interesting activities and the UCPF Peerkadas booth excelled in the event. The Peerkadas hosted two fun activities that many students participated in.
The first activity was the Memory Card Game, with the theme of “Beyond Galaxies”. It also revealed the competitive side of some UCians as they fought for the prize, which was a creative crochet coin purse, made by the skilled PF Ammoesca.
Second, was the Color Game, wherein participants choose a color to bet among six (6) colors and must pull a String to release the Multi-colored wooden Blocks. The color on the top of the (3) “rolled” wooden block are the winning colors. This game was interesting to many students who tried their luck to win chocolates and candies. These sweet treats were courtesy of the Guidance and Counseling Office (GCO).
The SAS’s welcoming booth was a great way for students to interact, to have fun and to get to know their fellow students, in view of the new semester. The UCPF were very enthusiastic and inventive in their efforts that made the event a great success and a wonderful experience for everyone.
